(NECN) - A Boston man charged with abusing a seven-year old Middleboro, Massachusetts boy will remain in Custody until his trial.
22-year old David Privette was in court for the first time Monday. He was charged with repeatedly abusing his girlfriends son.
Police say he burned the boy with cigarettes and whipped him with a belt.
Privette's attorney say his client is innocent and is placing the blame on the boy's mother, Michelle Henry.
Henry has also been charged in the case.
