(NECN) - Investigators plan to set up road blocks and do a door to door search in Lynn, Massachusetts for five year old Giovanni Gonzalez this weekend.
On Friday, the Essex County District Attorney told the Lynn Daily Item that police found a bloody mop during a search of the father's apartment.
It's not yet known whose blood is on the mop and investigators say they still hope Giovanni is still alive.
His father, Ernesto Gonzalez is being held on child endangerment charges.
An affidavit shows the father has refused to explain how he got an open cut on his hand.
