| September 7, 2008 Security guard shot at Portland, ME hospital

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - A Portland TV station reports that a security guard at Mercy Hospital has been shot.
WCSH-TV says the shooting occurred at the Portland hospital early Sunday morning.
There's no word on the guard's condition.
Neither Portland police nor the hospital would provide information about the shooting, although WCSH says police have confirmed that the shooting did take place.
