| March 2, 2008 Volunteers help NH family rebuild, after flood destroys home
|
(NECN) - Cresting rivers and flooded homes, all from the New Hampshire floods of 2006 and 2007. Twelve families are still displaced, but after a year in and out of a hotel, the Tobin family is about to make their house a home again.
Getting to this point was a true test for this family with 6 children. For the past several months they have camped out in a portion of the house.
The damage estimate is $66,000. State relief efforts kicked in about $17,000 and that was it for funding. This grassroots rebuild all volunteer through grace community church and its program there's no place like home.
NECN's Kristen Caira has more on this story.
