Woman arrested for fatal South Boston fire

(John Moroney, NECN: Boston, Mass.) - 25-year-old Nicole Chuminski has been charged in the deaths of two young sisters in a South Boston fire.

14-year-old Acia Johnson and 2-year-old Sophia Johnson died in the April 6th fire. Their mother, Anna Reisopoulos, was seriously injured, and their brother Raymond escaped physically unharmed.

Chuminski was arrested Friday on two counts of murder and a single count of arson. She is expected to be arraigned Monday.

An investigation into the fire showed that Chuminski got into an argument with Reisopoulos just hours before the fire. Chuminski was also seen near the home around the time of the fire and an accelerant that could have fueled the fire was found on her clothing afterward.

NECN's John Moroney has details.
