| February 29, 2008 Worcester: Leap year baby
|
(NECN) - February 29 comes around once every four years, and for one local family, it's a day to remember.
Aiden Holcomb was born at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester just before 10 a.m. Friday, but he won't celebrate his first birthday for another four years - because he was born on February 29th.
AT five pounds eleven ounces and nineteen inches long, Aiden's mom Courtney says she and his dad had a funny feeling that he might come a little early.
Statistically, the chances of being born on this day are about 1 in 1500, since the date only comes around once every four years and according to Bob Garvey- a professor of physics at the College of the Holy Cross, leap year has it's benefits.
