(NECN: Greg Wayland, Boston, Mass.) - Nearly two dozen incumbent mayors are facing challenges in today's elections across the state. Among them is four-term Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, who is opposed by City Council President Michael Flaherty.
After 16 years in office, Menino is facing a serious challenge from Flaherty this Election Day.
Menino is running for an unprecedented fifth term, which would mean 20 years in office.
NECN and NECN.com will have complete election night results from around New England and the nation tonight.
