Braude Beat: Candidates put politics aside


(NECN) - On the Braude beat Politics taking a backseat to the September 11th attacks. McCain comments in Shanksville, Pennsylvania before a rare join appearance with Barack Obama at the World Trade Center.

McCain: “No American living then, should ever forget the heroism that occurred in the skies above this field on Sept 11, 2001.”

Jim Braude joins us now to talk more. Unusual joint appearance, was just one of the changes the candidates made today

As you heard McCain spoke in Shanksville, Pennsylvania- Obama released statement.

"Americans across our great country came together to stand with the families of the victims, to donate blood, to give to charity, and to say a prayer for our country. Let us renew that....let us remember that the terrorists responsible for 9/11 are still at large, and must be brought to justice."
