(NECN/ABC) - Hillary Clinton is expecting to win yet another primary on Tuesday and rejects any suggestion that she's dropping out of the race.
At the same time she promises to support the Democratic nominee, "no matter what happens."
Pkg script: Today is the last day of campaigning before Tuesday's democratic primary in West Virginia. And it may be the last few days before senator Hillary Clinton's White House bid comes to a close.
Senator Hillary Clinton stated, "Its not over until the lady in the pantsuit says it is."
Clinton is expected to win big in West Virginia. And her campaign insists she is still the more electable candidate against John McCain. But analysts say the math just isn't on her side. And that worries at least one of her former rivals.
"She has to be careful about, going forward, is that, if she makes the case for herself, which she's completely entitled to do, she has to be really careful that she's not damaging our prospects, the democratic party, and our cause, for the fall." John Edwards stated.
But over the weekend, Bill Clinton assured democrats that he and his wife would support Obama if he is the nominee. "My candidate, our family and our supporters will be here to get a victory in November for the democrats. It is too important we've got to turn this country around."
McCain and Obama meanwhile are shifting their attention toward the November general election. Both have agreed to a series of unmoderated
forums and debates this summer.
"I think that's a great idea. Should I be the nominee, if I have the opportunity to debate substantive issues before the voters with John McCain, that's something I'm going to welcome." Stated Senator Barack Obama
After West Virginia the next democratic primaries are in Kentucky and Oregon. Senator McCain will be in Portland Monday talking about his plans to address global warming-- which he calls the most serious environmental danger of all.
