Clinton wins West Virginia, trails Obama overall

(NECN) - Hillary Clinton claimed a big victory in West Virginia's Democratic primary. Clinton picked up a 41 point win over Barack Obama, taking 67 percent of Tuesday's vote.

The primary win had little impact on the delegate count. Clinton won 20 of the state's 28 delegates, but still trails Obama by more than 160.

The New York Senator says her ability to attract undecided voters in swing states makes her the best candidate to lead the Democratic Party.

Clinton also repeated her call for the Democratic Party to seat delegates from Michigan and Florida at the National Convention. Those states were stripped of delegates for holding their contests too early.

Barack Obama spent no time in West Virginia Tuesday. He held a town meeting in Missouri where he made it clear that he's already focusing on the general election and John McCain.

Five Democratic primaries remain. Voters in Kentucky and Oregon head to polls 5/20. Puerto Rico, Montana and South Dakota vote in June.
