Connecticut's David Cappiello speaks at the RNC


(NECN: St. Paul, MN) - David Cappiello of Connecticut's spoke to delegates at the Republican National Convention Thursday.

Cappiello a state senator, is running for congress to represent Connecticut's fifth district. He says that the people of Western Connecticut, share the same concerns as every hard working community in America.

He says "They don't ask for much, only a government that promises a more affordable America today, and a better future for tomorrow."

Cappiello called for leaders that will work with Democrats, Independents and Republicans to get results for the economy. He says that McCain and Palin are the only leaders to have proven to do that.
