Darragh Murphy of PumaPAC: Itching for a (floor) fight

(NECN: Denver, Colorado) - Hillary Clinton supporter Darragh Murphy of Carlisle, Mass., is in Colorado this week - hoping to stoke interest in a floor fight, rather than a roll call vote deal at the Democratic National Convention Thursday.

NECN's Alison King caught up with Murphy Tuesday, where Murphy said as of now, "There's a lot of confusion (about Wednesday's roll call vote) and a lot of delegates are confused and are worried, and feeling pressure to fall in line and not vote for the candidate that they are pledged to vote for."

Murphy says she would love to see a floor fight to settle the nomination. "I'd like to see some politics play out," Murphy said. "This is the first time maybe since the 1930s that you could come into a convention with basically a tied race."

"And if that means a big floor fight?" King asked

"That would be great," Murphy responded.

As for Obama's chances? "I think they're looking at a big loss in November (whether or not Clinton delegates vote), especially if they try to prevent delgeates and the voters -the 18 million voters they represent - if they try to suppress that voice," Murphy said.
