(NECN)- Former Democratic National Committee chairman Steve Grossman says he learned of Senator Edward Kennedy's brain tumor when he got a call from a Kennedy aide. He remains optimistic despite the difficult word that Kennedy has an inoperable brain tumor.
He also notes that Kennedy's role as an American statesman. "Whether you like Ted Kennedy or didn't like Ted Kennedy politically, he has really been there for all Americans," Grossman said. "There's not an American unaffected by his illness, and wishing him the best."
