| July 8, 2008 Gov. Patrick embarks on tour of the Bay State
|
(Scot Yount, NECN: Boston) - Tuesday in Salem, Massachusetts, Governor Patrick held his first string of town hall-style meetings. It is his first stop in five-week, 11-date tour of the state.
The goal of the meetings is to allow residents to spell out issues they consider most important in their city or town.
About 200 people came Tuesday evening to Salem's Armory Park to share concerns about issues including energy prices, education and public services.
The governor has 10 more town meetings planned. He also plans to take his cabinet meetings on the road, to Amherst, Lowell, New Bedford and Worcester later this month.
NECN's Scot Yount has more.
