| September 4, 2008 Healey: McCain can win in Massachusetts
|
(NECN: St. Paul, MN) - Newsnight host Jim Braude is joined by former Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor, Kerry Healey. She says that Sarah Palin "knocked the cover off of the ball" with her speech Wednesday. She says the speech was fantastic and featured everything the delegates wanted to hear.
Healey says that she exemplifies what American families are looking for in a candidate.
Healey says she believes Palin will appeal to a different group of Democrats other than Hillary Clinton supporters, such as those who are very fiscally, and socially conservative such as those brought over by Ronald Reagan.
Healey thinks that the McCain-Palin ticket could win in Massachusetts. She says she has been asking the staff to pour a lot of effort into the Bay State because she thinks it could be another year like when Reagan won in Massachusetts.
