|
(NECN) - John McCain is calling Barack Obama's stance on Iraq political.
Obama has called for a troop withdrawal over 16 months.
McCain criticized Obama's timeline even though he acknowledged Friday that 16 months is a "pretty good timetable."
He says withdrawal should be based on conditions on the ground.
McCain also released a new ad criticizing Obama for canceling a trip to Germany to visit injured soldiers.
The Obama campaign says the visit was canceled because the Pentagon was concerend it would be political.
Pentagon officials say Obama was never told he couldn't make the visit.
