McCain promises support to veterans

(NECN) - At the National Guard Convention in Baltimore, MD, Republican presidential nominee John McCain spoke to the crowd about the benefit of having him as president.

Most of McCain's speech was about military members, both past and present. He said that there is a commitment to not leave any of those military members behind, even when out of the service.

"As a matter of duty and honor -- whatever our commitments to veterans cost -- if I am president, those commitments will be kept," McCain said.
