(NECN) - In Afghanistan, Presidential candidate Barack Obama has a full plate ahead of him on Sunday.
The Democrat was in Kabul earlier having breakfast with US soldiers before his expected meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
Senator Obama praised the work of US forces.
He's opposed the war in Iraq but has proposed sending more troops to Afghanistan to stabilize the country.
In the past, Obama has criticized the Afghan leader, saying he needs to govern effectively.
