Pindell: Clinton sweep would be 'shocking jolt'

(NECN) - A sweep would mean a swing.

That's what analyst James Pindell, national editor of politicker.com says, as we count down the hours until the polls close in Indiana and North Carolina.

Pindell says a sweep by either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama would do serious damage to the loser today. A Clinton sweep would be a 'shocking jolt' to the Obama camapign, while a pair of Obama wins would give superdelegates a reason to end their waiting game.

"The (superdelegates) I talk to are waiting for a reason to just stick with obama, to have this campaign be over, and so far he has not been able to close this thing out," Pindell says.

If the end totals match the polls, with Clinton winning Indiana and Obama winning in North Carolina, though, the race will go on, but time will continue to work against Clinton, as she tries to make up ground.
