(NECN) - Barack Obama has been riding a wave of momentum ever since his big win in South Carolina -- and his supporters are hoping that momentum will turn into a Super Tuesday victory.
Voters are heading to the polls for a historic election.
Obama is vying to become the first black candidate to win the nomination of a major U.S. political party; Clinton is hoping to become the first woman to do so.
Senator Obama and his wife Michelle cast their ballots Tuesday afternoon at the Shoesmith School in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago.
The Obamas were greeted by dozens of supporters as he arrived at his polling location.
NECN reporter Scot Yount has more on the Obama campaign from Cambridge, Massachusetts.
