McCain: We've got them just where we want them!

Appearing in Virginia and North Carolina, states the GOP has Traditionally won easily on Election Day, McCain unveiled an energetic new stump speech in which he distances himself from president bush.

MCCAIN: We cannot spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight: waiting for our luck to change.

A new ABC News-Washington Post poll, Barack Obama now leads McCain 53 to 43 percent among likely voters.

Obama has firmly planted his campaign in the key swing state of Ohio.

And today it was the blue-collar city of Toledo where he spelled out his

Economic rescue plan: including a 90-day moratorium on home foreclosures at

Some banks and a two-year tax break for businesses.

Obama: It's a plan that begins with one word that's on everyone's mind, and it's spelled J-O-B-S.

With just 3 weeks until Election Day, both candidates have recently been in the unusual position of defending their opponent from angry crowds. Today, it was Obama’s turn.

McCain’s

last chance to turn things around could come Wednesday night at the final presidential debate on long island, New York.
