(NECN) - As word spread of Senator Kennedy's hospitalization, there was strong reaction from the political community. Presidential candidates Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and John McCain have all expressed their concern for the senior Senator's condition.
While campaigning in Eugene, Oregon, Barack Obama said that he was going to call Vicki Kennedy for an update saying, "My thoughts and prayers are with Ted who is one of my favorite people." Hillary Clinton who is also campaigning in Oregon echoed those sentiments.
Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick says that he and Diane are sending best wishes for a speedy recovery.
