(NECN: Ted McEnroe) - He was already the best-selling musical artists of all-time. Now the late Michael Jackson has simply destroyed all records for most songs and albums downloaded in a single week.

According to preliminary numbers from Nielsen Soundscan reported on blogs, Jackson became the first artist to sell a million songs online in a single week. He also became the first to sell two million. Jackson sold 2.6 million digital downloads last week, and now holds 8 of the 10 top spots on the Soundscan chart, and 25 of the Top 75 songs. The 2.6 million includes music from the Jackson 5, as thousands of people were reminded of classic tunes they may not have listened to in years.

The week before his death, Jackson sold about 48,000 downloads.

Speaking of downloads - more than 2 million people have now downloaded the new version of Mozilla's Firefox browser. The version 3.5 of the browser doesn't look all that much different, but developers say it is much faster, which is good - and it also puts Firefox ahead of the curve when it comes to video, effectively allowing people to embed video directly on to pages without needing to use Flash or other plugins. This is going to be big - but for you and me, it isn't just yet.

The new version also lets you recover recently closed tabs if

you accidentally close one. And you can actually drag tabs out and create new windows, too. And many of people's favorite add-ons, little programs you can run inside Firefox to use the web more effectively, already work with Firefox 3.5.

Firefox is still firmly entrenched as the number two most popular browser, behind Internet Explorer.
