(NECN: Brian Burnell, Bridgeport, Conn.) - William F. Swanson, a veterinarian at the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, Connecticut, artificially inseminated two Brazilian ocelots today -- part of the zoo's animal conservation efforts.
The hope is that the ocelot will have a litter and the babies can be sent out to other zoos when they are old enough.
The Beardsley Zoo is located at 1875 Noble Avenue in Bridgeport, Connecticut. You can see more than 300 animals, representing primarily North and South American species.
