(NECN) - From the newsroom of the Cape Cod Times in Hyannis, Massachusetts is our "On Cape" segment. In this segment we take a look at a very clever insect. It is one of nature's phenomena that comes around once every 17 years.

Joining us to talk about Cicadas is Cape Cod Times' best entomologist, Doug Fraser. The bug stays underground for 17 years, living off roots of trees and come up when the time is right.
