(NECN: Lauren Collins, Manchester, NH) - The 2nd Annual Formula Hybrid International Competition is under way at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. The competition features high-performance hybrid race cars built by teams of undergraduate and graduate engineering students.
Founded and run by the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, the event runs from May 5-7.
16 teams are competing, including Yale, Drexel, Embry-Riddle and McGill University from Canada.
Teams must consider the factor of fuel efficiency in the design and construction of their car.
