(NECN) - Some vocal Facebook users are expressing their ire about reports that Microsoft is setting its sights on Facebook, following the collapse of its talks with Yahoo.
A handful of anti-Microsoft groups have been formed on the social networking site, and have seen spikes in membership since the Microsoft-Facebook rumblings first surfaced in the Wall Street Journal this week. Multiple reports now say that Microsoft approached Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg about a possible deal. The Redmond, Washington-based media giant now owns a small share of Facebook, for which it paid $240 million back in October.
