(NECN) - The Red Sox have confirmed that Coco Crisp has been traded to the Kansas City Royals.
In return, Boston gets right handed reliever Ramon Ramirez, who served in the setup role with the Royals.
Here is a look at Ramirez's 2008 numbers: (3-2), 2.64 ERA, 70 K's in 71.7 IP
MLB.com reports that Ramirez learned of the trade just after 9AM Wednesday morning.
