Moss: 'Disrespected' by single coverage

(NECN) - Randy Moss had eight receptions for 125 yards and scored three touchdowns in the New England Patriots 48-28 win over the Miami Dolphins.

Moss faced single coverage for much of the game, something he had not seen for most of the 2008 season.

"I don't know why Coach disrespected me like that," Moss said following the game. "Any time I feel disrespected, then I want to go out there and make it happen. I think they disrespected me today by playing me single coverage and letting me have fun and do what I like to do -- and that's getting in that end zone."

Moss was quick to point out that it mattered not who was covering him, rather the coverage type that allowed him to have a big day.

"If I see single coverage, man-to-man, then I feel that I can beat anybody in this league any given day," Moss said.

New England takes on Pittsburgh next week, and head coach Mike Tomlin might be sure to throw a safety over the top on Moss. Although, one can never be sure.

"Knowing that Pittsburgh has a good defense, there's no telling how they're going to play," Moss said.

As for this Sunday against Miami, well, Moss thought nothing spectacular of his three touchdown performance.

"Man, just a normal day at the office."
