| December 3, 2008 Rosevelt Colvin suits up in Patriots return
|
(NECN: Foxboro, Mass.) - Rosevelt Colvin is back in a New England Patriots uniform, sounded rested, ready and happy to be back, but if you're worried that he has been pining for the NFL since he was cut by Houston in training camp, think again. "It wasn't like I was necessarily scratching walls trying to get back into the game," COlvin told reporters before his first team practice in Foxboro. "But it's definitely a benefit and plus to have the opportunity."
Colvin was released by the Pats in February, after missing the last part of the 2007 season with a foot injury. He played with New England from 2002-2007, and was cut by the Houston Texans in training camp this season. He says his foot was not an issue. "I feel fine," he said.
But Colvin admits he wasn't exactly training hard in hopes of a comeback. "I am in great shape to wake up in the morning, to do my daughters hair..." he said to chuckles from the reporters on hand. "But I guess I was in good enough shape that (the Patriots) feel comfortable bringing me on, so we'll see what happens."
