| December 29, 2008 Faceoff: Cassel or Brady in 2009?
|
(NECN) - The Patriots will have a much longer offseason than what they are used to. The front office will need the extra time to think about all the decisions they have to make including what to do at the quarterback position.
It is a scary thought, but what if Tom Brady can't play again in 2009. Reports Sunday indicated the possibility that Brady's recovery is behind schedule.
Matt Cassel is set to become a free agent. With the progress of Tom Brady's rehab in question, what do you do with Cassel? NECN's Mike Giardi and Chris Collins discuss the topic on this segment of Faceoff.
Giardi says that keeping Cassel in New England is a no-brainer. He says that the Pats developed him into a top 10 quarterback and they shouldn't let him walk for nothing. Collins agrees, adding that the Patriots know what they have in Cassel, but they may not know how well Brady will recover.
