(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - They're known for their roles on the field, but Boston Red Sox VP/General Manager Theo Epstein and Hall of Fame sportswriter Peter Gammons are making an impact outside of Fenway Park this winter. Epstein and Gammons toured the Home for Little Wanderers in Boston today, as they prepare for this weekend's 'Hot Stove, Cool Music' fundraiser concert at The Paradise Rock Club and the Hot Stove Roundtable at the State Street Pavilion in Fenway Park.

Hot Stove Cool Music is the principal fundraiser for the "Foundation to be Named Later" - which Epstein today announced has raised more than $1.4 million for charities since 2005.
