| January 25, 2009 Curry's son spared; kid's mom, sister murdered

(NECN/WBBM)- New York Knicks center Eddy Curry's 3 year-old son witnessed the murder of his mother and baby sister Saturday night in their Chicago apartment.
Authorities said the victims Nova Henry 24, a former girlfriend of Curry, and daughter Ava were discovered by a family member around 6 pm.
Curry's son was found unharmed inside the Southside apartment.
Chicago Police Officer Amina Greer says that the killer is a "known acquaintance." A close source to Curry described him as distraught upon hearing of the murders.
Autopsies are set to be performed Sunday.
