(NECN: Latoyia Edwards, Boston, Mass.) - He dominated on the mound for the Red Sox yesterday, but today Josh Beckett did not want to talk about baseball. Surrounded by his mother and grandparents, Beckett presented a special gift to children in Boston seeking treatment for cancer. If you ever wondered what Red Sox ace Josh Beckett does with his spare time and his money, visit Children's Hospital Boston. Children's Hospital Boston unveiled the Josh Beckett Cancer Treatment Room today. The mission is for sick children to walk in and lose themselves in fantastic Fenway imagery. The Red Sox pitcher has donated $200,000 so far to the hospital. His latest check for $100,000 was generated from the 2008 Beckett Bowl. The artwork in the room may appear simple and cheerful, but the process was very difficult. All of it is a digital drawing. It was all drawn by hand with a digital pen.
