(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - The Boston Celtics beat the Chicago Bulls 118-115 to tie the series at one game apiece. Paul Pierce had 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Before the game, Pierce said it was up to him as captain to lead the team to victory. He says that he may have appeared tentative in game two because he is still trying to figure out the Bulls game.
Pierce says the team feels good after two games. "I think we feel very confident. We feel like we haven't even played good basketball yet." He says it felt like they should have won game one, and that they have been playing their "c-game".
Pierce says they are not a team that allows 100 points in consecutive games. "I think the best is yet to come in this series."
Game three is Thursday in Chicago.
