| June 28, 2009 Logano youngest to win Sprint Cup race
|
(NECN/TNT: Loudon, N.H.) - One of the big stories on the Sprint Cup circuit was the return to full-time status by 50-year old Mark Martin.
He has been worth the headlines, winning three times this season.
At the other end of the age spectrum is 19-year old Joey Logano.
The experts think he will be the next great driver, but getting there takes time. Usually.
Logano took the lead in this race before the rain arrived. Then the red flag came out. The 19-year-old from Middletown, Connecticut got his first career Sprint Cup win at the track where he started his first Sprint Cup race.
He became the youngest winner in Cup history, breaking Kyle Busch's record.
