(NECN: Cleveland, Ohio) - Shaquille O'Neal knows how to get in good with the bosses.

During his introductory press conference as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, O'Neal said that he, at first, could not put a face to the name when GM Danny Ferry first called him.

"The other day when I got the call from Danny Ferry, I was like, 'Danny Ferry, Danny Ferry?' Then I had to check my computer to see who Danny Ferry was, and this is what came up on the internet," O'Neal said, holding up a picture of him standing above Ferry from behind.

After sharing a laugh on stage, O'Neal thanked those members of the organization that brought him to town.

O'Neal later said that his new motto was: "Win a ring for the King."
