NECN: Mike Giardi) - Having come up short in the 2009 NBA Playoffs, the Boston Celtics stepped into the free agency market looking to retool its roster.
UPDATE: Multiple reports say Wallace will sign with Boston.
The Celtics made a hard pitch to F/C Rasheed Wallace, known for his sharp shooting, defensive ability and penchant for obtaining technical fouls.
Wallace was said to be considering a few other destinations around the NBA. While the Celtics are stuck playing the waiting game, Mike Giardi brought in Scott Souza of the Metro-West Daily News to discuss Wallace's fit in Boston, and any potential backup plans should he land elsewhere.
