(NECN/WPRI) - Police arrested two Pawtucket Rhode Island thieves after officers say they caught them stealing rims right off a car that belongs to a Pawtucket Red Sox pitcher!
Clay Buchholz, who played for the Red Sox last year, is currently playing with the team's Triple A team.
Police said the crime happened right outside his apartment building.
They got a tip from a neighbor who witnessed the crime.
When officers arrived, they say the suspects had Buchholz's BMW jacked up on bricks with two wheels already off!
Police arrested Airton Monteiro and Tony Reverdes.
They face several charges, including larceny.
Buchholz says this isn't the first time something like this has happened.
A few years ago, his whole car was stolen!
Bucholz is best known for throwing a no hitter in Boston in 2007.
