Belichick flaunts his Celtic Pride

(NECN: Foxboro, Mass.) - Apparently, there is a way to get Bill Belichick to be a chatting machine, and even smile! The secret? Don't ask him about the Patriots.

Belichick talked up his Celtic Pride today at the team's passing camp, praising the team for their Game 5 win over the Detroit Pistons, which he and Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi took in from courtside Wednesday night.

Belichick says the Patriots and Celtics have a cordial relationship, and that he has spoken to Celtics head coach Doc Rivers on a number of occasions. Belichick said, "I feel like I'm the team mascot now," after two games courtside. "Celtics have been great, they've been very supportive of us and we appreciate it," he added. "We're pulling for them."
