Brock: Pats did not look fundamentally sound

(NECN) - The New England Patriots played one ugly football game in Tamp Bay Sunday night. Although it was a preseason game, there is some concern about the way the Patriots performed.

Former lineman Pete Brock has the latest on the state of the Patriots.

A lot of the people are upset at the way they played. Pete says that although there does not have to be a set game plan in these exhibition games, you still have to execute the fundamentals. He describes the Patriots tackling as "abysmal". As a result the Tampa Bay Buccaneers got 114 yards rushing in the first half, which is very unlike the Patriots.

Pete says that the Bucs dictated the tone of the game, by executing more plays and being more physical.

Pete also expressed concern about Matt Cassel's second poor performance.
