(NECN) - Some members of the Boston Bruins took time out Monday afternoon to help raise money for Massachusetts General Hospital for Children.

The Bruins, partnered with WBCN to establish, "Cuts for a Cause."

Various Bruins players shaved their heads for charity.

Prior to the event, fans had a chance to bid on the opportunity to meet some of the players and watch them shave their heads.

The top six bidders received the chance to actually shave one of the Bruins' heads and win a jersey of the player whose head they shaved.
