(NECN/WMTW) - One day after his first start as a member of the Portland Sea Dogs, Boston Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz is philosophical. He says he wants to get back, but says if that means he'll need to wait until the 2009 season, he will.
"I deflintely want to be back there at some point in time. But if it's not this year, you know, I'll be ready to go next year," the Sox rookie said.
Buccholz was sent down after an 0-7 stretch with the Sox. He gave up three runs, but struck out eight in five innings on Tuesday against the New Britain Rock Cats.
