Celtics, Hawks get physical in game two

(NECN) - If you were upset by Mike Bibby's comments about "Bandwagon" Celtics fans, don't worry, the C's silenced the Hawks vocal point guard Wednesday night.

Boston beat Atlanta 96-77 to take a two game to none lead as the series moves to Atlanta for Saturday's game three. Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 19 points, and 10 assists.

Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo backed up the fans chants of "Rondo's better" by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and eight assists. His counterpart Mike Bibby, who's fair weather fan comments caused attention this week, was booed by the Garden faithful at every touch he made from the introductions to the end of the game.

Paul Pierce left the game with a back injury in the first quarter, but returned to score 14 points. Pierce says he expects to feel better for game three.

The Celtics dominance of the Hawks in the regular season has clearly translated to post-season play. The Celtics have outscored Atlanta in each of the eight quarters in the series.
