(NECN) - The Boston Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks 96-77 Wednesday night. The win gives Boston a 2-0 lead over the Hawks in their first-round playoff series.
Kevin Garnett scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds, while Rajon Rondo scored 12 points and had 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
After being knocked down in the first quarter, Paul Pierce returned to score 14 points. Kendrick Perkins added 8 points and nine rebounds for Boston.
Game 3 between the Hawks and Celtics takes place on Saturday in Atlanta.
