(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - Kevin Garnett is honored, but humble, when it comes to being named NBA Defensive Player of the Year. "Team defense is the best kind of defense... basketball is not a single-man sport," Garnett told reporters after his award was announced early Tuesday. Garnett received 90 first-place votes to easily outdistance Marcus Camby in the balloting for the award. Garnett led the Celtics to an NBA record for improvement in a single season, led by a defense that held opponents to just over 90 points per game. And while he's happy to have won the award, it's far from the only one he has his eye on. "At the end of the day, it's about winning (an NBA title)."
