February 23, 2008 Huge crowds for Red Sox Spring Training workouts Play video

(NECN) - The Red Sox held their first full team workout of Spring Training on Friday.

The first games are still a couple of weeks away and even though Friday was mostly fielding practice and catch, huge crowds turned out to see the World Series Champs.

In news off the field, Sox left fielder Manny Ramirez has hired super agent Scott Boras.

Ramirez is entering the final year of his contract with the Sox. But the team holds $20 million options for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. Ramirez has said he wants to finish his career in Boston.
