September 30, 2008 Lester looks to draw on playoff experience against Angels Play video

(NECN: Anaheim, CA) - Jon Lester, who has been named the starter of Game One against the Angels, is confident in his pitching and says he will just keep doing what he has done all year. Lester, who started Game four of the 2007 World Series in Colorado, says that winning that game meant more to him than his no-hitter of earlier of this year. "The no-hitter is nice, it is something that I will definitely always remember, but I think the World Series means a heck of a lot more not only me but the organization."

Lester says that coming up from the minors, he tried to modeled himself with Josh Beckett. "He's definitely a guy you look up to, and there's a reason why he pitches 200 innings a year."

Beckett was scheduled to start Game One Wednesday, but has been pushed back to Game Three due to a strained oblique muscle.
