(Jennifer Eagan, NECN: Worcester, MA) - Some of the top cyclists in the world are in Fitchburg for the annual Longsjo classic. Some of the biggest names in cycling have competed in this event including seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong.
The Fitchburg Longsjo began Thursday with a six and a half mile time trial, and it will continue for three more days.
800 cyclists are taking part in the race, traveling from 36 states and six countries. It is the 49th year of the event, and the top prize is $51,000
