New Yankee stadium may still have buried Sox items

(NECN) - There might be a reason why the Yankees continue to struggle this year.

That construction worker who buried the David Ortiz jersey under the New Yankee stadium says there's more.

According to MSNBC, Gino Castignoli has told friends that he also buried a scorecard from the 2004 AL Championship series under the new stadium.

That of course was the year the Red Sox came from 3 games to none down to beat the Yankees in the ALCS.

This time though, Castignoli isn't telling anyone where the scorecard is buried.

The Yankees paid to have the Ortiz jersey dug up and it eventually fetched 175,000 in charity auction.
